Reading - Read through ch. 30, plus the Reading Strategies Log, Reading Blogs due next Tuesday, the 13th.
L A - Do what you can to move forward on your essay.  Many students turned in their essays today.  We will not spend any more class time on essays, but those who haven't turned theirs in should plan on getting them in tomorrow or Monday.
L A - We are starting book critiques on Monday.  Each student will need to bring a chapter book that they like and are familiar with on Monday.  They will need to be able to have a good idea of major events in the story and what the characters are like.
History -  We continued reading section 8.5 today, and watched a video on the Constitution. 
 
We had 20/21 students, plus one teacher here today!

History -  Today was our last day of working on our Cause and Effect posters (for real this time).  Groups that are not finished yet, will finish during study hall or while other students are working on their essays. 
 
Check out these videos on what happens in our brain when we learn.  Notice the second video makes reference to evolution, but we know that God is capable of creating the same thing from scratch.  Regardless, it's really cool what our brains can do.
 
For those of you who still need some parent participation hours or just want to help, Miss Montes is looking for a little help as she prepares for the Elementary School Spring Program.

She is specifically looking for interested people who can sew, and/or want to put their creativity to use.

Also, she's looking for anyone who has access to medieval costuming.  You can email me or her if you are interested.
 
Spelling - Test 19 tomorrow (Wednesday).  We will not have a test next week.
Vocab - No quiz this week or next week.

1.  Print a clean, revised copy.
2.  Staple your Mid-Revision Helper to it.
3.  In the left column, mark one of each type of sentence opener.
4.  Underline two who/which clauses.
5.  Write number of words in the top right corner.
6.  Turn it in to "L A"
7.  "Share" your Google doc with Mr. S
 
We will have class pictures this Thursday just before lunch recess.  Make sure to get orders in by Thursday.
