It's a plan designed by R. M. M'Cheyne where you and your family read through the New Testament and Psalms twice and the Old Testament once in one year. Every day you read two chapters together as a family and then two chapters independently. Here is a link to M'Cheyene's Bible Reading Plan. I hope it is helpful for some of you.
My pastor also recommended picking up For the Love of God, a devotional based on the M'Cheyne reading plan, written by D.A. Carson.
By the way, I've heard from a couple of you in passing about how you do family devotionals. I know it probably seems really simple and unremarkable to you, but I know it's always been a great encouragement for me to hear how different families read the Bible and pray together. I was thinking, if you don't mind, that you could comment on this post with how you do devotions in your family. It might be helpful to others, and I know it will be helpful to Mrs. Swedberg and I when we have a family of our own... someday. :)
