By the Turkey Trot next Thrusday, the sixth grade class has committed to purchasing 135 items for homeless teens in Whatcom County. That means every student (and teacher) need to buy at least 5 items each to meet our classroom goal.
Keep in mind, these are very specific items, so make sure to check the lists you were given last Friday. If you lost your list, another one can be obtained from Mrs. Benham.
Also, a big part of this drive is that the kids take ownership over it. We want each one of the middle school kids to being going to the dollar store or Walmart and picking out these items themselves. Maybe even paying for them themselves. Thank you parents for all your support in this. We hope to make a big difference in a lot of teens' lives this year.
